Electrics: 850: - No tracs or abs lights

ive just noticed after 4 months that i have no tracs light off when i switch traction control off or no abs light at start up? do the bulbs fail easy in these units and are they hard to access. i know both are working due to the recent snow

any ideas

Like all bulbs they can fail without warning. Reaching it you have two choices

1 remove the dash top then cluster complete
2 remove the lower kick panel reach up under to the cluster and replace the bulb that way

Removing the upper dash takes about 15-20 minutes, I'd go that route. Replace the other bulbs while you're in there to save yourself the trouble later on

is there anywhere, other than Volvo to get these bulbs?

I'm sure once you pull one out and have the size any auto parts store will have them. But, they're very cheap from Volvo. Here in the states it's a dollar or two per bulb.

If you get the old one out by removing the top of the dash [have to agree it's far easier than going under] take the old bulb into Halfords or a good motor factors they sell them for less than £2 each some are stuck into the holder though then they're volvo only but there's plenty being broken on here

Engine doesn't rattle anymore
