C30, ABS, Long journey, Limp mode, condensation hell
Hi all first time poster,
Picked up a Volvo C30 D2 1.6 r design diesel in January, it had about 89,000 miles on it, can belt replaced but looked immaculate and drove smoothly. First car, initially over the moon with it but after a few weeks started to get problems with condensation. Turns out the back left footwell is absolutely soaked and I can’t seem to find the source of the leak. Seen people suggest it’s the gromit the boot door closes onto but that seems to be dry and the same for the rear lights which also seem to be a common fault (this car doesn’t have a sunroof so no problem there. I’m lead to believe it could be something wrong with the AC but would love to be proven wrong, any direction here would be great. Problem 2 was that on a long trip returning from Lincolnshire to Southampton I was driving slightly uphill on a dual carriageway when the car threw itself into limp mode flashing an ABS problem. RAC had it sorted shortly after stating that it wasn’t ABS related and an injector in cylinder 3 had failed and been replaced £350 later. I made it back after taking the slow lane some time later after a long journey straining through condensation with a grumbling motor. The mechanic stated that other injectors may fail within weeks/ months and I need to get this sorted ASAP but in general the car just doesn’t feel right anymore. I’ve totally lost faith in the car which I need for work and am pretty stressed about what to do next. I took a picture of other error messages on his readout and will post them below. Any assistance or guidance you could give related to this would be massively helpful!
