S80 Trip Computer
Can anyone advise me regarding the use of the trip computer on my newly aquired S80?
I cannot get it to display fuel remaining - the sequence on my car goes: range to empty average speed current mpg average mpg blank screen Also the average fuel consumption figure seems to be "stuck" on one value (28.6). Initially, it changed regularly during normal driving until I switched off. Returning to the car the next day, it displayed the same value throughout. Does it need to be reset every time that I use the car? I have not reset it yet preferring to start again at the next re-fuel. This is my first Volvo having driven Renault 25s and Safranes for over 20 years. So far I am delighted (after four days ownership!). Silly question - is it worth joining the club? Thanks in anticipation. Bob |

Always worth joining the Club!
The S80 computer does not give a fuel remaining readout. I've found the range to empty to be fairly reliable, though it can go from 20 to nothing quickly (but then I drive for some miles on zero!). The average consumption figure continues until reset - though remember its an average over those miles, so after a while it won't change much. Paul VOC S80 Register Keeper

Yes. Join the club
I reckon I've saved several years membership by using advice from VOC members. I'm still delighted with my S80 after a year. Chris |
