S40 year 2000 headlight problem
my LH headlight is malfunctioning. The headlight works on full beam but not on dipped or sidelight so I'm illegal. I've tried a new bulb twice so its not down to a faulty bulb and when I connect the bulb with electricity on I hear the relay click. Any ideas? The RH headlight is fine and I've checked all the fuses!

yes as BOTH the headlamp and sidelamp dont work with new bulbs the only common thing is earth although strange main beam works ...
Its more likely a faulty realy within the CEM though not uncommon and some other fault with the side light , ... you need a wiring diagram and check to see if the feed is coming out the CEM ( above your right foot under the dash )
