40+ is possible when driven nicely with a light foot etc. We did a 500 mls journey from Poland back to Cologne at Christmas with 3 people, dog and luggage at speeds between 90-115 and got 27mpg.

Push it in town and on country lanes and obviously it will drink a lot.

Fuelly - and average figures range between 20 and 23.8 mpg, but the data is limited so far.

You will not be dissapointed with the performance or refinement of the new VEA engine!

Old thread but thought I post the info here as well.....

As my A6 is sold the wife let me use the XC60 for my trip to the UK yesterday and as the mileage is piling up nicely, the mpg increases too

Yesterdays 340 mls - avg 32 mpg (hovering around 70-95 mph).

Said it before, say it again, not bad!

Just as a reminder, this is for the new VEA T5 (2-litre, 4-cyl) with 245bhp equipped with the Polestar tune meaning 254bhp and 400Nm of lovely torque!

Default T5 mpg

I picked up a new t5 on Saturday. On my weekly commute from Bath to Sussex it is showing 41 mpg average (m4, m25, m23). Very smooth power delivery, very quick and comfortable.

Just to note City Motors in Bristol were brilliant. They modified an existing delivery slot and it turned up in about 5 or 6 weeks

Very Happy HJ
