  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

From what you say the thermostat is faulty so best get that fixed first and go from there , there is another thing you can try if , but first the LPG Evaporator needs very hot water flowing around it to Vapourise the Liquid Gas .
I changed a faulty thermostat for a similar LPG switching problem last week before christmas and that cured the problem ..

ok cool can see where your coming from it could be as simple as the water is just warm enough but cold air cuirculating round it may be taking the temperature out of the evaporator,causing it to switch to petrol.
thanks for the advise will try the stat first then take it from there

just to put this to bed just changed the thermostat in the car and it switches to gas within in seconds of starting warm (used to take 4 or 5 miles before) and many thanks to clan it was as you diagnosed the stat was stuck open

congratulations , but you diagnosed your own problem when you said the engine wasnt warning up ;-) And as i said i had this problem on a Bi-Fuel the week before christmas ..And as my footnote always says ..... experience ...

Clan- thanks for the suggestion. My car is going in for a timing belt so I will get the thermostat checked also.
