Turbo price
Hi folks, My S40 T4 auto, has turbo problems and needs replacing. Has anyone got a cheap replacement? If not does anyone want to make an offer on the whole mt car? Looking at the prices of T4's its not really worth pumping hundreds into it. Cheers

Often turbo faults are a fallacy. The wastegate actuator often is the culpritand there are other causes. Best way is to get your turbo off to Turbo-Technics for a thorough check and rebuild if necessary - around £400 if a new centre cartridge is needed. This is the bearing and turbine wheels part. Quite often the turbo comes back as no faults.
All the best, Peter. |

You should consider this too. I bought one on the advice of Spangoolies. Brand new Volvo turbocharger with no issues. Delivered within a week too.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VOLVO-S40-1-9T...QQcmdZViewItem And as Peter said, it can sometimes be the wastegate actuator that needs replacing. Volvo do this part seperate but you need to have the boost level set due to changing the settings on removal. Good luck...
