I have to press and hold the window switch to open the N/S front window...the O/S one-touch works as it should.
I did a search and found this in XC70/V70 section Quote:
Can anyone tell me if this Is this the same with the XC90 please? Thank you in advance ![]() |

I would expect so as they are very similar. Volvo normally use the same parts for as many designs as they can.
I've never had to try it myself as I've kept the car with a charge while changing the battery to avoid losing the settings for the autobox etc. I did change a battery on a Merc E-class without doing that and I had a devil of a job to get the windows reset as they opened and wouldn't close again! Fortunatly a Mechanic at the main dealers was working overtime and gave me instructions by phone, otherwise they would have been open all night.

We didn't let the battery go flat, the N/S one touch hasn't worked all the while we had it...but thinking back it had a new battery fitted just before we got it.
Only thought about it the other night, so I did a search on here and found the info posted in other sub forum. It is no big deal as the window does function if you operate the switch and hold it while the window opens. (The windows get opened a lot when guiding or being guided reversing with horse-trailer hitched). I think I might leave it as it is, like I said in my PM (got your reply thanks) We know what these cars are like (modern Volvos in general) I don't want to just "try it" and have it mess other things up. cheers fella, have a good weekend ![]() |

More to the point, whats the autolock setting that can be lost?
Can I do any harm trying this on my 03 V70 to see if the auto up will work on the passenger window?
