Volvo 340 manual wanted around devon area

Hi people im a newbe to this site but im looking for my next volvo project im looking for a manual volvo 340 it can range from the 1.4 to the 1.7,ive already restored a volvo 740 and im really looking for a volvo 340.

If you have one or any info of where i can pick one up from please let me know it would be much appreciated. Gary

May well have one for you here, 340 1.4 manual 87 reg been standing for a year but still starts and drives long Mot on it when parked up,(now out though) also full service incl timing belt,oil+filter,two brand new rear tyres again all done days before being parked up. New tyres have only travelled from Mot station back to parking..4 miles max. (Long story) Give me a call if you're interested.Car will need some work on bodywork though, but is by no means rotten. 140 o.n.o. (tyres cost 70.00gbp lol!) Gareth 07870 847672

Hi Volvokidd,

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. The car is in Swansea, so depends on how badly you want it..I made a mistake in my original reply to you, the car is a 1.7 litre not the 1.4 and has a few superficial scrapes in one or two places. She's on an 'F' plate so around 89 registered. One of the sills has a patch welded on it,other than that,it looks pretty strong body wise. It has around 88,000 miles on the clock, and runs very well. If you are interested, I will have to talk to the owners as they may be planning to scrap it. (They are friends of mine) Regards, Gareth

Hi Volvokidd,

I will try and get some photos taken tomorrow and then depending on my wife to try and upload them as this is the limit of my ability with computers i'm afraid. Had a good look at it today and the worst part on it really is the front valance/spoiler? , the rest of it seems pretty solid.
Will need a back box though and possibly a battery as the one on it does not seem to hold its charge. Anyway you are welcome to look before you buy as it's often difficult to judge the true condition of a car even with the photos.Other usual things after standing for long are one of the rear brakes binding etc, but all the tyres are good on her esp rears, which are brand new.
Depends on how much of a project you want really..I would probably class this as 'medium' job lol!

Thanks for your interest.
Seems as though it may have fallen thru as I've had no reply from Volvokidd since my last e-mail to him.I am still waiting for the ok to sell the car as it does'nt belong to me but to a friend who lives in the US, who should have come back to the UK but seems now that she's not. Started and ran the car yesterday..needs a back box and some rear brake work for the test and a front valance weld-job.
I will see if I can hurry the process upand get it sold to you.
