Default 854 T5R Suspension?

Hi there,

After sorting my engine and boost and cat gremlins the T5R is giving some suspension probs.

After a run down a fairly bumpy back road on saturday the back left spring seems to be bouncing on the flat and thumping over bumps more than usual, like its not properly dampened, the back of the car is also very bouncy when I put weight on it....feels like the shock has given up on that side. Is this possible? I've been under the car and can see nothing else out of place.

The car is 1995, 108,000 miles, but Northern Irish roads do take their tole! It is quite pitchy as is and I'm wondering will new shocks be sufficient, or do I need to go down the route of springs and shocks? I would like the car to handle better but am very much on a budget at the moment!

What do most do when T5R suspension has had its day?

Cheers,

Matt

Thumbs up

first off hello,,just round the corner from you havent seen any t5r s kicking about..sounds like a shock ,,imo if your suspension is the same age as your car then new shocks will improve the handling i would fit somthing along the line of bilstien shocks ect,,going for a full kit coilovers ect will set you back 1000+

back to the fact i havent seen your car,,,did you buy the black saloon??
