Default V90CC B5 diesel mild hybrid polestar

Good evening.

Recently bought a 2022 v90 cc b5 privately.

Car has had a few option fitted which have been a bonus. It is our 4th Volvo with a diesel, last 2 were d4s.

This one has polestar, does it effect fuel consumption either up or down (volvos website seems to say no, but I'm a tad dubious). I understand the standard power is approx 235, does it boost it by much?

Many thanks

Nice car choice!!

This may help you:

It's the only option that came up for a 2022 diesel v90cc.

Looks like a nice improvement to power output to me.

Based on my own experience please ensure your insurance is aware of Polestar - some companies refuse to insure, some charge an additional premium & some are content to continue but need to be informed. Failure to notify will invalidate your insurance! I found Volvo's own insurance scheme to be the best for a Volvo XC60 with Polestar. Enjoy your new car!

Not sure about a diesel with Polestar but I have a v60 T5 polestar. Push the polestar button and fuel consumption goes up dramatically !!

Same car as ours - and will be as rare as hens teeth with the model changes of late. Polestar makes the car much better to drive in standard comfort mode too where I have noticed no drop off in mpg and a definite improvement on acceleration. Putting it into Polestar you feel the car shift down/increase rpm so there is going to be a pay off in mpg but you get even better performance. I think it is a definite improvement overall in either mode. Just a shame it is such a pain to toggle between the two.

I think we got lucky with the spec. It was a private sale as the owner was trading to range rover.

I contacted volvo who conformed it had the seat pack, lighting pack, climate pack and lounge pack. It has HUD (so I lose the heated screen), polestar, panoramic roof and 2x electric memory seats and crucially the built in boosters.

I'll pr9baly keep this one longer than the 2 previous v90s
