Suffering from drop out while using CarPlay.

Is it a genuine or Apple certified USB cable? If not, it can cause problems.

I had problems with debris in the lightning socket on my phone, making connection iffy. I gather that it's a regular problem if you don't have a case that covers the socket, especially if you keep it in your pocket, like I do. Plenty of links on cleaning it out with a toothpick, if you search. Much better after cleaning.

I've just converted mine to wireless using carlinkit 5.0
Works well. saves the hassle of plugging in every time.
