Turbo lag exist in all motors, in every engine, in every brand. It's something that is related to Turbos. It's a characteristic of Turbos.
The problem in our Volvo cars is related to gearbox lag.

Answering your question... Yes. A little bit. Gearbox lag is still there. But it has been reduced. But I just feel that, when Polestar drive mode is activated. When driving in Comfort mode, gearbox lag is more noticeable.

Default Gear Change Lag; Auto Gearbox

Referring to the comments about gear change lag:

The benefit of an adaptive transmission is better fuel economy, gentle shifts- but drawback is- it may not always react to your mood swings

Apparently shifting into Offroad mode and driving past 40km/h (where offroad mode will disengage..) resets the adaptive "memory". "

I've done the gearbox reset described by Haldex, (it works). I now use dynamic mode normally and my V60 Cross Country gear changes are now significantly more responsive than they were when I first got the car.

Hi Chudy,

Do you use an Android phone and if so have you noticed any phone to car bluetooth issues since the software update?

I've been told by a couple of dealers that there is now a £595 promotion live/going live for the Polestar Optomisation (for Q3 ?).
Not down to £350, but better than a poke in the eye

As in my post No. 27 above , start you downward negotiation from there ...

From the email that I've got, it starts on Q3, which may be 1st Jul, which is the date Ulrika is getting done.
As for negotiations, nothing doing with any of the dealers that I tried.

Quick question; does the Polestar optimisation make changes to all modes? Or does it just add a Polestar mode?

I mostly drive in comfort…and wouldn’t bother if it’s just an additional mode.

good question. if you search for an answer in the forum, you'll see no one is certain. To be honest, I do think that gearbox lag is only reduced in Polestar Engineered mode. But you feel the extra torque and horsepower in the other modes as well.

I'd love a definitive answer on the comfort mode polestar question too. I don't have the drive modes switch but I believe that 'sport mode' is accessed by turning off the ESC. If P* doesn't make a big change to the crappy gearbox in comfort mode it would be a waste of a grand.
