Non of the mild hybrid B models have a 0-60 under 5 seconds. I'd of thought polestar optimization would come to these models at some point.

Why is this? Is there a technical reason or is this a business decision?

This is model specific and not applicable to all polestar maps however.

I can accept that possibility as I did have to give my VIN to get the response but which model differences as a point of interest? Is it different generations or model specific ranges?

Only out of interest. It seems to me both from what they have said and my recent experience with the remap that it is applied to the control systems with the same modal differences. i.e dynamic mode becomes polestar optimised mode but the revised torque/hp graph is the same across all modes.

Well if you look at my XC90 for example I am considering getting polestar and have had the quote etc which does boost BHP, Torque and 0-60 time however my 90 has no driving modes at all.

I get in start it and run it. Beyond Bluetooth connectivity for the phone and standard driving aids I have no different settings etc.

So I would make sure anyone that purchases it double checks.

Thanks for the clarification. I think that confirms that the remapping does get applied to the engine management systems and thus you would get the benefits from the both the increased torque/hp and the different curve of both in any vehicle adapted a such. Otherwise why offer the option on vehicles such as yours? You just don't get the zoom zoom dynamic/Polestar mode. Frankly I think that mode is a bit beyond most drivers wants in everyday driving. Think of dynamic mode (if you have driven one so fitted) on steroids and you have polestar engineered option mode.

So, I would be pretty sure that you would get a smoother, thus more comfortable, ride from having it on any Volvo model although I must admit the only 90 series Volvo I have driven is the S90. In any event you can take the 14 day trial and have it uninstalled with money back if you don't think it is worth it. What is there to lose?

If you do go ahead, please come back and let us know how it went.

Confusingly they're talking about a Mk1 XC90 i.e. not based on the SPA platform. If you look at there signature you'll note the vehicle year and thus their comments aren't really relevant to your model at all (or this fora..).

What has been confirmed to your via mail is likely correct across the entire SPA range + XC40.

As you say; 14 days to test it. So if you've got the cash and fancy it, why not give it a go. Nothing to lose really.
