Default p0238 Error

So, had endless issues with the car bitching about turbo then EGR however pretty sure its neither but....... the other day it did spit out code p0238 which google tels me a list of things that may cause that

https://www.troublecodes.net/pcodes/p0238/

one of the things they suggest is "In some cases, clogged or even partially clogged catalytic converters and/or mufflers can prevent or inhibit the free flow of exhaust gas, which can cause over boost conditions to develop at high engine speeds"

as so far the turbo has been replaced, map sensor replaced, so how common is that, anyway to test it? car is driving me nutsas cant pinpoint the real issue despite the rediclous amount spent on it so far trying

many, many times and many "repairs" later the issue is not solved, hence my wildly speculating to what it could be

Have you checked any of the wiring going to the MAP sensor?

What about the turbo control valve?

not personally no, the wire i prob could but the turbo control valve, wouldnt that mean dismantling bits? also would it have been replaced as part of the turbo when it was replaced?

Check the wiring to the MAP sensor.

The turbo control valve doesn’t require dismantling bits, as far as I know. Its just a plug with a valve inside. Take the old one off, fit a new one... plug & play basically.

I’m not sure whether it would have been replaced with the turbo. Worth checking.
