Jack point(s)
This has probably been asked before, if so, I couldn't find it. The problem is, if I want to jack up the car using the existing jack points (two on each side), where is the best place to put axle stands? Another scenario is, if I could find a suitable place to jack up with trolley jack I could then put axle stands under the existing 'proper' jack points. It would be more beneficial to jack up the whole of the front or back at the same time if possible. I have seen some mention of jacking up from where the tow bolt goes.
Any assistance would be appreciated. Brian

Depending on what i was working on, i would jack up using a suitable aea under the car (sub frame etc) and then use the axle stands under the jack point, or visa versa. I use thick rubber "hocky puck" style pads to protect whatever i wsa jacking up against. Example here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/DEDC-Univer...2543494&sr=8-9
I had 4, and cut 2 down thinner as my jack wouldnt go under some places with the full thickness. you can also purhcase in different thicknesses anyway. Oh and i always chocked the wheels if any were left on the floor (for example just jacking up the fron ti would chock the rear wheels) to prevent any movement.

Cheer, I have just bought two of those rubber things, the ones that fit into the trolley saddle.
