Volvo 480 Original R/cassette wanted.

Hi. The chap who recently bought my 480 Tub' Auto is after an original spec' Volvo radio/casette player for it. I can't remember what model it had (it's a 1991car).

So if anyone has one of these lurking about, I'd like to put you in touch with Olivier.................

Unfortunately, I can't help you with finding an original radio, but I do have a 480 brochure from 1991 (UK edition).

Radio shown in brochure was: VC-601.

Some OT info from the brochure...

AC was only available with manual transmission.
The leather was two tone in Grey/Black.
Both Turbo and ES were available with 4-speed Auto.

Colours were:
231 Bright Red
234 Polar White
218 Artic Blue Metallic
305 Black Metallic
306 Smoke Silver Metallic
311 Oyster Grey Metallic

ES:
102 Bhp, 142 Nm @ 3900 rpm
0-60 in "under" 10.6 sec
Top 115 mph

Turbo:
119 bhp, 175 Nm @ 3300 rpm
0-60 in "under" 9.1 sec
Top 124 mph

Unit to hand complete with instruction manual. The plastic strip at the right side of the front is missing (but may yet be found). The unit is to be returned to a 480 here to ensure that it is functioning. If it is all working, the price would be £30.00 to include postage.

I would be prepared to send to your friend for him to fit and check that all is OK before he sends up the drinks vouchers in a letter. If he finds that it is not working then all he need do is post the unit back to me.
