Default Winder B Roof C70

I don't suppose anyone has got the "T" manual winder B or is a key for the manual lock/unlocking of the roof.

I'm after the bit circled in red in the photo I need.

In my case there isn't the second key "B" anywhere in the car....believe me I've looked!
Cheers
Alan

Hi ASt85

I have one, but just one. And two C70s.

I don't have it in front of me, but I seem to remember that it was flat metal.
I will be able to have a look next week.
Are you in a position to get one copied?

I would think quite a few people would like to have one if the price was right.

HTH
Steve

If you've got a photo, and some approx dimensions I should be able to fabricate one or three - only too willing to help others in need - I've got no idea what it actually looks like!

Seems that they are as rare as hen's teeth....

No - not at this stage, but it might be worth trying to acquire one of the originals and then fabricate few copies - it looks like a T bar key in the diagram I posted

I have the original keys and can photograph / measure if that helps. Key B does look exactly as the illustration shows, basically it is a flat ended screwdriver.

That would be great - I'd be able to get the right width of the flat blade which would avoid damaging what I assume is a type of lock.

Attachments showing tool B.

It is stamped out of 3mm sheet steel and has a flat screwdriver at one end and a Torx T10 bit at the other. The flat screwdriver is a single chamfer similar to a wood chisel, instead of the usual twin chamfer on a normal screwdriver. It tapers to 1mm.

The part number is 6817874. Overall the quality is reasonable, but the torx end looks more like a tool kit found in a Christmas cracker - very poor and crudely made.

Hope this helps.

Hi ISv40,
Looking at your photo and measurements - it shouldn't be too difficult to replicate - I'm amazed as to how basic it is.

Thanks again
Alan
