Default Intermittent loss of power

I have a '08 C30 D5 auto which I love, however, it has a problem which I really want to sort out. If I start the engine, drive of and keep the throttle in up to 60 mph, the car goes great with full power. If I have to hover at about 40 mph, the next time I need to accelerate, the car goes into a kind of limp mode, it won't accelerate up a steep hill, it just revs in 3rd and turbo seems not to be spooling up properly and the kickdown is the same. If I stop, turn the engine off, it resets and is fine. this makes me think it is an electrical issue/sensor/ECU. I have seen a couple of posts about this, (it seems quite common) but nothing definite, does anyone know exactly what this problem is?

Any codes??? if you have not looked at or had the codes read this would be the best place to start otherwise it could turn into a guessing as to what the problem is.
