Does anybody know of a tried and trusted volvo specialist in or around Stoke on Trent? My car is far too old to warrant a dealer!

Thanks!

Tim

We are are fortunate in Stoke to have an exceptional indie, contact Simon Rogerson who owns Hanford Test Centre in Church Lane Hanford
tele 01782 644601 or mobile 07984015648. He has always maintained my
Volvos and what he doesn't know about them isn't worth knowing.

What about the chap at Meir? Called Swedish Car Care Centre or something like. Always been helpful to me. Never had any work done there (no reason to) but there's always Volvo's outside. Different ones daily too - it's on my way to work btw.
Just a thought.

Magneto, Ive used Swedish car care in the past with success. I tried to contact him recently though and he can be hard to get hold of. Meir is also a bit awkward to get to for me.

Chad, Brum is a bit too far for me to go unfortunately!

Be interesting to know how you fare. Let us know. There used to be a firm run by Cyril Bennion, CB Motors, in Stoke, but I'm fairly sure he defected to Vauxhalls a while back. Knows his Volvo's though. I had a 225000m 960 estate with zero history, yet after a few bits and bobs sorted seemed very sound. It's dash lights had failed as I recall and the previous owner rigged up an LED array, similar to fairy lights... Must have been a bigger job than fixing the fault which was down to an equally dubious stereo install.
Anyway, I had treated this old girl with all the respect a high mileage (don't know when she last had a cambelt) car deserves. Cyril bought it, and a few days later called round. As he left, he u-turned in the road with back tyres smoking and carried on as it changed up the box, leaving lovely black lines. If I'd known the bugger could handle that I'd have kept it!
You live and learn....
