Following on from Steve's thread does anyone know what garages generally charge for removing and replacing the turbo on a T5?
I know the figures will be fague dependant on location etc but i could do with a ballpark figure to help me decide whether to tackle it myself or not. Thanks as always Ewan

when i removed mine to replace the oil return pipe seal (mine being AWD) I reckoned a garage would want something close on £500 to remove/refit.
spent many a year in such an environment so its an educated guess. but still a guess. |

so roughly 3 hours ish for someone who's well versed in chucking spanners,, 6 hours for a "not a pro spanner chucker" ?
give it a full day and you should be covered for DIY, with lots of photos to help, and reading before hand ?

The worry with my garage is that he's admitted he doesn't know how long it will take him and therefore can't give a price.
