Default 945 Sport Edition suspension

I know the Sport edition suspension is 25mm or so lower than "normal" Does it still use Nivomats at the rear? Thinking of maybe changing over to it. It's slightly stiffer also? Anyone comfirm parts used on them. Thanks Carl.

Hi,

The Sport Editions had what was called the "Road holding kit" fitted.
This lowers the car, as you point out, an inch and does include (certainly for the estate) Nivomat rear shocks.

Whether the Road Holding Kit was stiffer than standard I can't say, but I wouldn't think so. Emphasis was on the "lower" rarther than anything else.

The kit, as far as I know, is no longer available as that ( a kit) but the parts should be available individually - probably. Although you could undoubtedly get a lowered front by using other makers parts (shocks and springs).

Des. . .

Any recommendations, threads even?

My "new" car has recently fitted shocks and I am "shocked" at how much better it handles than the old one. I noticed the roll bar bushes are going so I think some parts might be justified.
