You can get a remover from car shops, but a quick wash with soap and water should get it off for you
Leaving it in place or putting it through a cheapo car wash?

Ready to collect on the 13th and the dealer told me buying a plate from the DVLA would not be a problem. Having done the transaction an email told me "up to 14 days for the paperwork". Hope it doesn't delay collection.

Anybody else bought a plate from the DVLA? How long did the paperwork take to come through?

Cheers

Wouldn’t put a new XC60 through a car wash the paint is still soft and you will ruin it.

How long do they reckon the paint takes to harden sufficiently for the car wash?

Smile Mine arrived at the dealer today as promised

Just popped to see it (forgot to take a camera - doh!) - everything as expected plus I managed to wangle free supergard out of the (very nice) sales bloke. Collecting Wednesday.

Not only that but I got an email yesterday with a list of registrations to choose from, so I will have a semi personalised plate ;-).

So it will be XTJ which I think its pretty sweet. Just hoping that the dealer adds a little something for free due to the delay, probably not but here's hoping.

How did you like the loan car Teejay? You must have done a fair mileage in it if you went up to Scotland?
