Mmmm, good luck I have been after one for over a year now with no success. What's wrong with yours?

I have a low mileage [ reputed under 30K by PO ] engine with dizzie at back. However, it's had a twin DD Weber manifold fitted as it was going in a Super 7type car. Turns over fine [ and regularly ] and comes with a new clutch assy - albeit surface corrosion due to standing. No obvious previous oil / water leaks.
I'll take some pix over the weekend engine ident plates 31S27 4986 01-116 If you're interested make me an offer. All the spares will be going on E-Bay after a 2 week period here on the forum. I'll be listing all my spares soon, several auto boxes and a manual 4 speed with O/D |

Just a thought
If you are not bothered about keeping it original, I met a guy in Scotland a few years back who had dropped a 240GLT engine into his 262C. He said it was a fairly easy transplant. In my opinion the Volvo B series engines are far better than the PRV and theres plenty around. It is just a thought.

You can also swap in the turbo version to more or less match the bhp etc.

The redblock flops in there nicely, and the gearing is right too. Did fit 4 cyl front struts, otherwise suspension the same. Happy swapping-it can all be changed back again if I fancy wet liners and time bomb timing chains in my life! |
