Default V40 R-Design

My car is a 2013 V40 T4 R-design.

As you can see at attached picture.. there is a big gap between the hood and the front bumper near the headlamps, is this normal for R-design? Sorry for the upside down photo...

I would say no. Hard to tell though from this photo. Another couple of photos would help. Not close ups like this one though need to see the overall look.

I would also say no. If its the bonnet that sticks up it's a matter of adjusting the bonnet lid itself, very easy. However, I would ask your dealer to do it in case something goes wrong

BUT, it could also be that one side of the bonnet has not been closed correctly hence one side sticking up?!

Is bonnet properly shut. Ours is a pig and has to be closed with force to get both catches to lock

Thanks for the replies! The bonnet is fully closed on both side when I took these pictures. Seems like the rubber seal is shorter than it should be. BTW, could you guys take some photos of your R-design bonnet and post them here? It will make it easier for me to negotiate with the car dealer.

Thank You in Advance!!!

Not V40 although S60 and V60 for comparison on shutlines.

s60 62 plate bonnet shut lines

v60 11 plate bonnet shut lines

s60 62 plate again - with a leaf stuck in the shut line - quite apt as shows the size?

s6o 11 plate bonnet shut lines

Trusting this is helpful?

Regards

Have a look at the pictures posted in this thread, towards the end there are some close ups of the front end.

That's better photos. doesn't look that bad and may be within specs that factory go by.

Have you gone to the dealer and compared like for like???

if no I suggest you do so and see what workshop at your dealer has to say

That part should be no different to other v40s.
Take it to another dealer if you are that bothered about it
