Default Spring markings & Nivomat equipped car query

Hello

Two queries in one post.

I'm looking at replacing shocks and springs on my 2015 XC70 D5 SE LUX AWD.

It has a standard system. A consideration for the rear is to fit Nivomats at the rear. I tow an 1800kg caravan on a regular basis and at 89k (nearly run in) miles the suspension is ok but not at its best.

I've witnessed & assisted from a distance, forum user Agro, who went down this route but unlike him I want to match springs to shocks/vehicle model variation if possible.

Query No 1 - I would like to identify what springs I have on now. I have VIDA(still learning) and can see that there are several variants of spring codes/markings for my vehicle.

Earlier versions of my vehicle had the codes on the VIN plate sticker at the bottom left of that sticker in a long series of numbers but this doesn't appear to be the case on mine.

....please can anyone advise how/where to identify the spring markings/code?

Query No 2 - Is there anyone running a similar vintage and specced model already fitted with Nivomat, who would provide me their VIN and spring markings (assuming someone can advise how to work them out) so I can use VIDA to select the correct combination?

Any help appreciated.

Hello XC70Virgin

Thanks for your reply

It's got to be worth ago.

I'll send you a private message, we don't need VIN's broadcasting in public if we can help it.

2011 Police Spec

XC90 Nivomats - Link

XC90 for springs or "Heavy Duty" XC70 springs

You could also upgrade the front springs to XC90 as well

That's a good find Puffster. Thank you.

I take it they came as per picture on the Aersus website; minus the top mounts?

Thanks for the help apersson....unfortunately I'm struggling to apply that or anything I can find online to what my VIN plate shows.
