tailgate wiring
going to be changing the rear tailgate soon, how aesy are the wires to remove? i have been told about the wiring looms that bypass the tailgate, are these simple to fit? where do they connect to at each end?

I think the looms simply unplug. If you carefully peel back the roof liner at each rear corner, you'll find it
I've fed my offside one out through a hole in the liner & back into the tail-gate, effectively by-passing the need for the wires to go through the hinge itself. I just used 'joining blocks' to join the wires. It's a quicker fix, if not a 'bodge'. However it works & the remaining small loop of wire is not restricitve in any way. Some put a conduit over to make it look a tad tidier. My nearside one needs doing now too. That said the correct looms are not really expensive. HTH's
