That looks a good buy at £65. Any one know what price Volvo would charge, as I assume they don't come up very often on eBay, and the one on my Sport Lux is looking very sad after decapitating a rabbit a couple of years ago and gradually shaking itself to bits.
Thanks. |

I think they are £180 primed. They will need painting on top.......

£180? Christ sake! Though doesn't surprise me considering volvo quoted me £190 for a drivers seatbelt and got one on here for £8 lol

For those seeking a splitter there is options, however these aren't genuine Volvo.
On ebay you can buy from two sellers that sell replicas of the real thing. This one according to the seller is pretty much identical but is a replica and not made by Volvo http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volvo-S40-...item3cc56a43bf It's £68 including postage, so decent value The other NKtuning £80 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volvo-V40-...item256f89ad05

Maybe that's me being a bit suspicious, or just too cautious. Gary

It will be rough when you get it and will be up to you to get it smooth and correctly shaped, before priming and painting. Yeaaaarrrss ago, my brother owned a mkIII Escort. He ordered a spoiler out of a car magazine, stating it was an exact replica of the XR3 spoiler. When it arrived, it looked like it had been hewn from a lump of limestone, with a lump hammer and cold chisel. It took days of sanding to get it into a decent shape, so it looked right and needed fettling to fit the boot, as it was miles off. Once it was painted, it didn't look too bad at all, but christ, what a work it took. Gary

£180 for a primed bit of plastic?? Who are they kidding??? My dad had to replace a mirror on our S40 R-Design T5 a while back (not his fault - some other guy took it off). The tiny silver plastic bit that pops right off is £80 alone and replacing the whole mirror cost over £200. That little plastic bit was probably made in China for £2 Luckily we don't have the blind spot info system else it would have set us back £600 ish. Also, the interior bulbs behind the light switch dash, £8 a bulb.... I enquired about clear side markers from a Volvo dealer, that was about £80 too - For 4 clear bits of plastic...Ridiculous! |
