hi everyone.
here are some photos of my volvo 460 gs its a really nice car and lovely to drive once i get rid of a fault on it which i think could now be a partialy blocked exhaust or karput cat as the front of the cat is glowing red.volvo 460 gs 004.jpg volvo 460 gs 003.jpg volvo 460 gs 007.jpg volvo 460 gs 006.jpg volvo 460 gs 001.jpg |

Nice m8, i had a GS in red, only the 1.8 though, stacked that one and now have 2.0i CD, prefer the handling of the GS, suspension was so tight and cornering was mental! I've got the wheels on the CD now as they are an inch smaller and almost 2 inches wider!
You notice how wrong the manufactorers facts on these cars are? I've had mine 0 - 60 in 7 seconds and had 140 mph out of it!!!!!!!!! (never again) they're listed on the manual as 0 - 60 12.8 and top speed of 115! is this to keep the insurance group down you think? |

hi all.
and thanks for all the superb advice my car is finally fixed and now purrs like a volvo 460 should. im £140 lighter in the pocket though but was well worth sorting, took my car to volmech in stockton they only work on volvos all their technitions are fully trained volvo people. there work is superb they even gave me a courtesy car. after initally spending some £600 to put my car right by replacing everything ht,spark plugs, dizzy, rotor arm,m.a.p sensor idle control valve, and checking compression on valves and injectors all it was that needing replacing is exhaust manifold inlet gasket what a bummer. but atleast iv nearly got a brand new car. thanks everyone for your input. dave |
