Hi Neil

Yes you should be able to, if you call me on 01293 848301 with a few more details of the car. If it is compatible I may have a used unit you could buy.

Regards

Alan

i purchased a tuning box from germany which will go on to the v40/s40 1,9td but it seems that you have to have the bosch ecu !! i have got the lucas ecu. so if anybody is interested in it they can have it for £60

I've fitted a East Coast Racing Power box to my 2002 V40SD, It is fitted between the inject pump and injectors and 12v supply. It only took 15 mins to fit. If you use this you do not have to have your car chipped and it is easily removed as it is all "plug in". It works be basically keeping the injectors open for a fraction of a second longer. You can even set some jumpers in the box to set the amount of increased power you'd like!.

I recon I get about 20% more power and torque. I is manufactured in Germany and complies to all EU regs. If you are concerened about MOT emissions, there is a option to fit a switch so youcan turn it off for the MOT. I've had it fitted for 2 MOTs now and the last one the emissions were lower than last year! I do make a poiint of changing the oil every 6k.

If you are a member of the Caravan Club, you even get 10% off .

Early s40's are mechanical fuel injection (lucas ECU) so are less tuneable than the (Bosch) electronic direct injection engines,

Might be best looking at some peugeot, citreon sites as its the same engine as used in pug 306D turbo's and citroen ZX's amougest others.

thanks for the info rooster, found a pug forum and they talk about tuning the td's alot. seems like you can get the engine up to 110bhp without spending any money, just a few adjustments of whats already there.
