Post Original Tire Size 142 + Backspacing.

Hello!

I know this may have changed for various year models (mine is a 71 142e) and from what I have found it shows that the tire size was a 165 with a 15" wheel that's 5" wide. That doesn't tell me the sidewall aspect ratio (So the 165/45R/15) - that is the section that is missing from older documentation. Also, I can find no information on what the backspacing was on the factory steel wheels. I'm being told 20et but that is offset which is different than backspacing, and I doubt that it's even correct. If I had a set of the original wheels I would measure myself.

Anyone know this information?

Thanks,
Brandon

Tyre size would 165/80 x 15. I don't know the backspace measurement

165/15 = 165/80/15

offset is ET 38 from memory, it will at least be very close to that

You can work out the back spacing from that
