Default LPG prices (Ireland)

Passed my nearest supplier of LPG today. Tell me what's wrong with this picture?

Diesel = 98.9 cents

Unleaded = 97.9 cents

LPG = 96.9 cents

Sorry folks but I'm glad I opted for diesel now. Just hope it stays reasonable for the time being.

Default LPG Prices - Europe

Sorry to hear that you have gone for the black stuff.

In the UK (Leeds) LPG is 47.9p/litre and Unleaded 86p ish, and this differential applies in most of Northern Europe.

The last "pledge" by Whitehall here was that this differential would remain until 2011. Have the Irish authorities made a similar pledge or are their fuel taxation policies based on something else?

TBH, I don't know what I would choose if I had to move West, and had to buy a new motor!

Whats happening at the moment in Ireland is that even at these prices customers are being severely ripped off for Diesel / Petrol / LPG / Kerosene . For the first time in many years due the drop in the value of the pound petrol can be bought cheaper in Northern Ireland than in the South . For many years its been about 20% cheaper / Litre in the south , the filling stations are fleecing every cent they can at the moment holding off as long as they can , the price should be 70 to 75C a litre which is what it should be to maintain the same profit level they were making six months ago .

todays exchange rate is 1.14Euro/£ , I can buy diesel today at 90cents in Donegal ( £ 0.789/Litre ) and even at that price being much cheaper than uk it is still a rip off in Ireland because based on the strength of the Euro compared to US$ and the drop in crude price the Irish price should be around 75 cents /Litre or £0.66 and at that the petrol stations would still be making the same profit level they were 6 months ago so right now these people are really taking us all to the cleaners and as for the UK fuel pricing the government there are making absolutely no effort at all .
