As you say, John, very interesting. I don't think my '74 TE has a rear ARB, but its been so long since I was under it I may be wrong! Because of this, when next at the car will grovel under it and check plus measure both ARB diameters (my car is stock). Agree springs seem new, so what else might be under there?
Maybe someone might know from the chassis number which TEs went where originally - I sadly don't. Body does seem free from rot in the usual 164 places, so hopefully not much to do before getting it legal again. John - if you can get to see it please share your findings. Incidentally, far more dust on this car than on the 142S I exhumed last winter, after its 26 year rest! Still, its garage was brick with a felt roof so quite cosy and dry: just about all rubber items perished though Paul |
