Default Rear light cluster - repair or new one needed?

Hello all - We've had our XC90 for a while now, but first time posting on here.

Just had the unfortunate situation of cracking the lens on the lower rear light cluster (near indicator area) when putting some stuff in the boot.

Is it possible to source replacement glass/plastic only, or as I suspect is it a case of having to buy a whole new unit? It seems a bit of overkill as the unit is fine, apart from the crack in the lens.

Can anyone recommend a good source for XC90 parts, or have a pod I could buy? Our dealer has said we can only buy the whole unit from them - at £160 that is crazy for a small crack in the lens.

Thank you.
Michael

Simon at FRF Volvo (Rufe on this forum) offers forum members a discount.

Look him up on the forum to get the discount code and give him a call. Very good for genuine parts. Or there is volvopartshop.com

Hi Michael
As already suggested, Simon (rufe) will sort you a discount - I know as the wifey smashed ours on a tree the other week. It was much more reasonable than that, and was with me in 48 hours. Really easy job to switch it out too, took 10 mins but that was only because I wasn't sure what to do!
Cheers,
Mike
Ps this is on a 2004 model

Thanks to all for the replies, much appreciated.

One more thing - our car is a 2009 (2010MY) - are the rear light clusters the same through all model years or was there a change?

Cheers
Michael

Thanks again for the tips.

I've tried the ebay options - the breakers had nothing available, and the other ebay one is cracked almost the same as mine :-(

So, it looks like FRF Volvo might be the answer - will call them now.

Cheers

Don't forget to quote C3 for the discount.
