Default Loose cable harness duct (where to secure)

Trying to solve a strange noise during highway driving and believe it may be that the ABS Sensor Front cable harness duct is not secured anywhere, hence rattling around.

Part is 31110060, #7 in the attached wiring diagram.

The top must snap in somewhere.

Other attachments hopefully provide enough to help:
Hope it's an easy answer or someone can look under their hood and send me a picture how to lock it in place.

It^s the same on an XC90, the duct just drops and hangs in free air. Close to the engine pulleys!

I tied mine back with a cable tie to ensure it will never hit the engine

Thanks.

My first problem is figuring out where to secure the cable duct at the top.

Can you describe (or show) where it attaches at the top?

I'll certainly follow-up on your suggestion to tie it off on the bottom.

Thats Interesting,

I have the same duct floating around in my engine bay near the pulleys ( 2005 S60 2.4D )

I only noticed about three years ago after I had the cam belt replaced and thought that the dealer forgot to secure it somewhere.

Cant for the life of me see where it attaches to.

Believe I found where the duct should snap in. Before and after photos are below. Unfortunately, it is not tight and will come loose first bump or pothole.

Wondering if I can secure with Goop, tape or large ties. Recommendations on how to secure would be appreciated!

Also, have I found the right place to secure the top of the rogue cable harness duct?

Before photo shows cutout in housing (not sure it's called).

After photo has cable harness duct placed in the cutout.

Thanks again for anyone who looks and can assist.

Had this issue today as well. Sorry to revive a dead forum

The plastic piece is not supposed to just hang down. It sits like this.

It goes on the support bushing bracket for the cross brace. Inside that end piece there is two dots on either side. There is a hole in that support bracket that lines up with this piece.
