  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Default volvo 440 direction system problem

When I turn the steering wheel to the left side.. Is all ok but when I turn all to the right I ear something at the end.. But I only ear for the right side it's like a strong sound like "tak" what could be?

It could be anything to do with the steering.

Bent wishbone
Bent track rod
Siezed cv joint
Plastic cowling come loose and rubbing.

Try and replicate the problem whilst stationary. Get a mate to sit in the car anf turn the wheel while you sit underneath and pinpoint the problem

Or take it to a garage
