Default volvo v40 2.0t not reaching power

Hi everyone,

i'm currently having a bit of an issue with my 2003 volvo v40 2.0t.
A couple of days ago i've had it remapped, so it should have around 210hp.
Now for some reason it's not getting this, and i only get to about 170-180hp.
I've changed plugs, coils, decatted the exhaust and put on a new wastegate actuator. Turbo is running at around 14psi.

Now what i find weird is that the torque is ok, it has 320nm which is perfectly fine.
So I'm thinking that it might be the turbo so i'm looking for a replacement. I've come across a td04-15t and was wondering if this will be a bolt on fit on the engine?
If anyone else has some ideas, please let me know as i really don't know if it could be something else.

Many thanks!
pj

How do you know its down on power? Check for boost leaks or the grey boost solenoid thing could be garbage. Either of the one way valves could be junk too.

It's been on the dyno multiple times
I've also replaced the 3 way valve already.
How do i check for boost leaks? And what do you mean with the grey boost solenoid thing?

Is that the power at the flywheel? if so the power at the wheels will be less due to losses through the drivetrain.

It's power at the flywheel. I should have 210 at the flywheel, while i have 170 now :/

I'm no techie but if it's happened post-remap then I'd say something went wrong around that time.

Perhaps, as per the other poster's comments, something mechanical's given out after the remapping, possibly whilst it was being given some welly.

The less-preferred alternative could be something more sinister internally, gaskets etc.

Hope you get it sorted.

It already struggled before the remap. Apparently the ecu already upped the boost or something to keep it's stock power figure (garage told me this, not sure how it works exactly).

I'm going to change the MAF sensor to see if this helps, but don't think it will. Because in the lower rev range the engine works fine.

Does anyone know anything about the td04-15t turbo?

What is your engine code on the timing cover label?

You will need an adapter for the 15T turbo as it uses a different manifold studs etc.
