Default New Vodafone Sim Not Working

Had my car in for a service last week and asked for a new replacement 100GB sim, and the one I had in the car only had 2Gb left on it.

Installed the new one in the car, and can see it has a signal, but it will not connect to the internet.

Any suggestions please would be welcome.

Been through this (rather painful and unnecessarily complex) process recently.

The new SIM needs to be paired with the car. To do this, using your phone, logon to your Vodafone account using the car's wifi hotspot. This SHOULD pair the SIM with the car and enable you to activate the new (free) subscription.

But I do not have a Vodafone account. The sim came from the dealer.

OK, in that case the new SIM will need to be set up from scratch.

Here are the instructions:

It's a somewhat lengthy and convoluted process, just so that Vodafone can collect your personal details in exchange for the 'free' !00GB of data.

Many choose to buy and install a data SIM from 3 instead. It costs a few £10s of pounds but lasts 2 years and works immediately on installation without any activation or faffing.
