Cool Surprised!

2011 S60 D5. So, a year’s waiting for replacement of front sensing module as diagnostics showed it wasn’t communicating with likes of adaptive cruise control, lane departure, etc. Then, suddenly, surprise!! Things started operating again all by themselves! Well, intermittently. Volvo garage mechanics scratched heads offering no explanation. I’m not keen on forking out the £700 for part replacement if there’s another explanation for this sudden awakening.
Any thoughts as to what may be happening? I wonder if all the time the issue has been a faulty connection somewhere- if so, is this possible to trace?
Be nice to have all systems working again. Meanwhile I’ve cancelled the order for the part. Life’s too short!
