Running on Leaded?
New owner strikes again.
Does anyone know if the 240 GLE 1986 was exported from Sweden already certified to run on unleaded fuel with the hardened valve seat etc. I know that in general terms the Swedes were (are) about 10 years ahead when it comes to “clean” fuels. The chap I bought my 240 off was still running leaded, although this is not to say that perhaps it can run unleaded without costly parts/labour. Although not being a problem if it can’t, (the benefits of working for a specialist fuels company lots of add packages to hand), it would still be nice to know that it could run on standard ULSP – perhaps with some timing adjustments. Thanks, Sui |

Runs happily and without problems on unleaded. If it pinks just retard the ignition a gnat's.
