Lowered and all bushes replaced

Might be here sobbing by the end of it not able to either get stuff apart or back together

Any advice ahead of time would be much appreciated (or any special tools)

A holesaw on a drill is a good way of getting a lot of these bushes out. A sharp hacksaw blade may be needed to remove the metal shells.

Be careful with the trailing arm to axle bushes, use something to stop the ears on the axle from bending over as you press / hammer the new bushes in.

Also, fire. Lots of fire.

No problems with aim, although I've deleted my headlight washers so they're getting the full force of the washer pump. Could get dribbly with six jets and an ailing pump...
Fitted these today - no probs and great coverage

Thank you

So BH weekend - thought I’d try and replace suspension bushes

Thanks to Dai at classic swede for a custom build of bushes (full set minus panhard and ARB body mounts)

This is all part of the lowering

So did the adjustable pan hard first

Apart from having to try and get the bushes in - simple one

The rest of the car……. Aaargh!!

So up on axel stands using the supports

Rusty bolts and underseal is making this a massive ball ache!!!

This is as far as I got after 4 hours - that’s just 3 bolts holding that on - grrrrr!!!

Getting the bushes out is also proving to be almost impossible

Is it just the angle of the photo or does the front bush/housing of the trailing arm look skewed?

Why did your car on axle stands make me think you’d moved to Liverpool?
