Mine was £113 fitted for a 100ah Volvo battery at Bells in Northampton.

Both the Volvo and standard Varta have 3 year warranties, but the Volvo one covers removal and refitting as part of the warranty and the Varta did not, so that slim advantage was the final decider for me.

The dealer also gives a free health check every time the vehicle rolls in for anyrhing, not that they've ever told me anything I didn't already know but its a nice touch. Oh, and they gave it a decent wash and leather. For an extra 3 sterling I thought I'd done alright.

My V70 D5 takes a 78ah - it actually has a Varta installed - and I'd be very disappointed to pay as much as £109 for an 096 battery.

It's true with servicing as well. By the time Id paid for servicing at a specialist - not that there is an XC specialist near me any more - and then paid 190 odd pounds for separate RAC membership I'd have actually spent rather more than having the same service at the dealer and receiving the free Volvo Assistance.

A 2011 doesn't have AGM. AGM was fitted to cars with auto-stop feature, and that was first introduced in 2012, and then only with manual gearbox.

Yes just discovered mine needs a new one and many reg finders are throwing back an AGM.

I dont have SS on my 2012 so i have bought this for next day delivery...

There is an extra 5% off from that web store as well which brings it down to under £100 inc the extra for next day delivery if you need it that quick.
