However do you occasionally see the diesels for sale as "spares repairs" with engine issues... I don't think the even make diesels now.
They liked to break crankshafts and a short block was required. If you seen how light the cranks were you'd fully understand how they break

The Prius 'cvt' is different again, and is a very fine system in its own right, and brilliantly integrated with the hybrid system - I loved mine.

The Subaru CVT is an evolution of the original Van Doorne belt system.

Be sure to try it out. I had to abandon a test drive in a Subaru Outback because of the pain from the seat. I walked back.

So….. I’ve been and had a shufty. Nice motor but not for me. Well built but it’s just not for Thong. Cheers for your input, the collective mind never fails. It’s gunna be another Volvo probably. By the way, I saw an XC40 with 98k on the clock and it was priced at £20500
Yeah Right!!

Used car prices have gone nuts. XC40 especially - 3/4year old cars now cost more than they did new.

For example this, £35,500 new but now...its on sale for £37,995!

It’s stupidity, once new cars start flushing in there’s gunna be a lot of car owners without any equity left in their current motor.

They also seize glow plugs very quickly, within 2 or 3 years. A sensible person removes them annually and moly's the threads, butnits a helluva job and a garage will charge an arm and a leg, but don't do it and expensive trouble is quickly inevitable.
