Default C70 convertible boot carrier rack

I know it’s been asked before, but I’m keen to buy a genuine boot rack for a mk1 c70

Many thanks

Definitely an acquired taste, put two together and it's a picnic bench.

I bought one thinking it would be a nice accessory to have. Went to fit it and found the gap between the boot lid and the wing was so tight it would have meant forcing the boot lid shut - risking damage to the paint. As the cars were hand built it could be that my car has particularly close panel gaps. Another issue: to wire the brake light in as Volvo intended meant drilling the bodywork to feed the cable through - something I was not prepared to do. All was not lost though, I bought it for £25 and sold it for £90. It was worth it just to scratch the itch.

Used to own a Saab 93 rag-top, and this worked well...

Fitted a towbar, and a Thule 900 Back-Up Box. With on those on, you're not far from matching storage to a V70 (seats-up). Used in conjunction with a Thule four-cycle carrier, (not the usual 949 Easybase) we carried one cycle + Thule 900 Back-Up Box. Agreed, the car looked like a wheelie-bin, yet I mean, if you expect to go anywhere, and want luggage, why nancy about?
