Default BLIS LED on mirror stays on for no reason

Hi All, has anyone had an issue with their BLIS system. Today mine has started to give false warnings i.e. the LED built into the mirror (passenger side) turns on randomly even though there is no traffic around me. On a 15 min journey this happens about 7 times.

Perhaps the rear bumper is dirty?

Might need recalibrating. I had a similar issue, and then a message saying that BLIS was unavailable, it happened in heavy rain. When it went for service, they recalibrated it, they seemed to know what the issue was straight away when i described the issue.

Interesting. I have had this once but that was going through roadworks with lots of cones and I wondered if it thought the cones were a vehicle. However, I thought it was based on radar so that theory isn't valid as I'm fairly sure the cones were static unless they were robotic moving cones....
In the unlikely event that I remember when due in for a service in September, I will mention it to the dealer.
