just bond it to the glass with sikaflex on the 2 pads each side and hold it steady with masking tape. done tonnes like that as brackets are non existent

Thanks, I'm probably being precious but I think I will try and find one with the brackets complete - I'm sure you're right, sikaflex would do the job, but I'd rather try and attach in the factory way.

Those brackets would be straight forward to make if you are handy with a vice- grinder & drill:~
Stainless Steel sheet via ebay would be fine -saves painting and rusting. Bob. |
