Default For Sale : Volvo R-Design V 70 SE Lux 2010

It’s now time to sell my Volvo R-Design V 70 SE Lux

It’s Gray / Silver in R Design trim with leather seats, integrated sat nav, rear parking sensors and all the other toys. Everything works.

The car has had 4 previous owners. I have had had it since 2017 and put just over 31000 miles on it. Most of the miles have been longer motorway / A road trips to the North of Scotland or down to the midlands for holidays or family visits.

The leather heated armchair seats and 6 speed auto box make it an effortless and surprisingly economical long-distance driver.

The car has been serviced and all repairs carried out by Craig Moncrieff independent Volvo specialist in Edinburgh. The car has had a fair bit of new kit over the last 4 years with the aim of making it the reliable family car which it has been. It’s in pretty good condition with a few dings commensurate with the age but never been crashed or bumped.

At the last MOT in July it had the expensive Nivomat self-levelling rear shock absorber replaced. There is a minor issue with the sunroof alignment that needs a touch on the button to get it closed fully.

It also comes with an unused VIDA dice box

Please message me if interested and I can provide any other pictures or details of the car you might like.

I think £3,250 Ono is a fair price on the condition but open to reasoned offers.

Some snaps from this morning are here:

Default Personal message from Ixion...

I can't reply to personal messages as I have not made 30 posts to the forum ....

( real lurker ! )

But if I could this is what I would have said ....

Hi , thanks for your interest, I am in Edinburgh, no plans to head south until Easter I am afraid, but it's a nice car, I am sorry to see it go but I have a wife who loves her V50 and I have a BMW i3 now so it's sadly got to go .

Give me an email on allister.watson@gmx.com and i can tell you a bit more about the car.

If you fly to Edinburgh airport to have a look at the car, I can meet you and if you don't buy the car I will pay your return fare ...... Be a nice drive back down south :-)

Let me know before friday lunch time...

Regards Allister

I just wondered about the oil leak mentioned in the MOT advisories for a few years, I'm assuming it must be minimal but noticeable to a tester then? Looks a cracking car, I may be tempted after the 15th.

Default Volvo V70 now sold

Yes, there was a small oil leak, it was sorted at one of the recent services.

The car has been sold to a fellow Volvo enthusiast , so it's gone to a good home :-)

Aye, I really liked it, as the new owner was doing a test drive with me as the passenger I remember getting in it and driving it back up from south of London to Edinburgh when I bought it four years ago, a very comfortable and easy drive.

It's now on another long drive from Edinburgh to the North of Scotland while I get used to the complete opposite of a car with a BMW i3 to do all the town driving around Edinburgh.

I am liking the BMW a lot but the seats are not a patch on the Volvo, but filling it up for free this morning rather than at £1.36 a litre did make me smile .....
