Default R/h indicators not working help😔

Hi I've got an 06 07 my xc90 d5 the right hand indicators stopped working unless you hold on full beam I initially thought it was my 2 year old had broke the stalk when he was grabbing it but I replaced it with a new stalk today and the problem persists😭
Anyone any ideas on what the problem could be? It's pretty urgent as it's going on a tour of Europe in next few weeks I have an autocom diagnostic kit but it sees no faults.

Thanks for reading hope you can help.

Easy fix, your contacts on the ignition stalk switch are dirty

There's some good youtube videos on how to fix it:

Could it be the cem module that has gone faulty? Does the indicators go through it? Any recommendations on who could recon it?

Hmmm, it would appear that it is getting a feed from the main beam switch somehow. Do the indicators work normally when you've got them going? No strange flashing? Have you replaced any bulbs recently? Volvodiagnostic could probably repair the CEM if it's at fault.

Lh indicators work fine no probs rh don't unless when on you flash main beam this then gives you the lane change few flashes of indicators or you can hold on main beam flash and they fill stay going until you let go.
Just to be clear everything works as should apart from no right indicators they only go when turned on and you flash/hold on main beam.
Nope nothing replaced or changed recently.

I thought cem is only repairable if at all buy removing and posting to specialist

It is, which is ok if you can live without the car for a few days. He does have quite a fast turnaround though.
How are the hazard lights?

Hazards are going fine only thing I noticed although could be by design is the don't make the clicking sound unless ignition in on.

Only things I can think of is a possible fault in the steering column board that the stalk fits into or the cem I'm guessing I'll just have to pull it out check for corrosion on terminals clean test and if no good post away for hopeful repair as new 1 is crazy money.
I don't believe there is a fuse for just the r/h indicators? I notice in auto data it says there is a left and right indicator bridge but I don't see it.
