Default Clutch pedal issue

Hi there

I have an issue with my clutch pedal not pinging back and needing to push right to the floor to engage a gear, any obvious caused of that? (my mechanical knowledge does not extend this far)

...I've removed my driver's side under panel (fuse box cover) and I can see that there is a horizontal shaft from my clutch pedal that goes into something on the bulkhead, a circular thing with circular black rubber round it. It looks like that might be weaping.

What is this, and could that be the cause?

I've tried to upload a photo but it won't let me do it.

Possibly the clutch slave cylinder leaking.

That's the pushrod that operates the clutch master cylinder, if there's fluid weeping there, then it looks like the master cylinder is leaking...not the slave cylinder...
Fairly easy to change and bleed

As above^^^^^^^^^^

You need a new master cylinder.

You should be able to get a repair kit- seals & associated items generally included.
