Sorry about the off topic, but i bought different products recommended by Auto Express and they were rubbish, ever since i don't buy anything on recommendation from any sites/organisations like this. Tyre reviews, bulbs reviews, cleaning products and specially car reviews it's all well paid advertisement!

Back to the original topic about the upgrade bulbs. If there is any great "upgrades" out there i have tried and would buy only Ring Xenon Ultima. The reason is they are great quality bulbs, they will last you as long as any "upgrade" Philips or Osram, but will be cheaper, so you can save few pounds for the next purchase in 6-8 months. Like i said "upgrade" bulbs are more marketing trick than giving you 120% or 100% or 90% more light. How can the same halogen bulbs have difference of 100% light which they distribute?
Just, seriously think about it....

Sorry to resurrect this thread but I also had an issue with the headlights on my 55 plate V50 so I removed the headlamps took the whole inner unit out and found the magnifying globe in front of the bulb was very cloudy

I removed the glass globe and gave it a thorough cleaning ensuring to leave no residue, I put them back together replaced the headlamp unit and fired up the lights....WOW what a huge difference this has made and it all took less than an hour for both sides..
